The Suit. Every day for the past couple of weeks, I've been privileged to wear one of the most recognizable suits in the history of mankind.
Some say-at least those who have had the opportunity—that when you put the suit on, it changes the way you think, act, and do. I can say with certainty that this testimony is true.
The suit is the first thing children or parents see at a distance, and once the connection is made, the bond between you, the suit, the person you interact with, and who you are becomes apparent. It's a huge responsibility, and one that is not taken lightly.
Children listen intently to your words. They notice your actions and responses, even if they look away after approaching you. They seem to instinctively understand.
Now imagine if that were how it was every day of your life. Imagine the "suit" you wear every day conveyed the same message. Imagine the "suit" you wear every day conveyed who you were, the type of person you were inside, setting the rules for engagement. Well, frankly, it does.
You don't have to wear the Red Suit to know this. Each of us projects a mental picture to others every day, with those you come in contact with. It really doesn't have to be a material thing or a fashion statement. Your thoughts drive your actions, words, deeds, and, of course, misfortune, and vice versa.
So think about it. Before you go out today, take a good look in your "closet". Inspect your "suit" before you leave the house. Go ahead, check yourself in the mirror! Do you feel confident? How about glamorous? Did you see that smile come to your face, and did you feel your backbone straighten right up? Sure you did! Now you're ready, go out and inspire the world!
Wear the suit. Be the suit. Honor the suit!
